17th Building Services Days

On October 13-14, 2011 the Faculty of Engineering University of Debrecen and HAS Regional Committee of Debrecen Committee of Technical Sciences are organizing the 17th Building Services, Mechanical and Building Industry Days.
This conference, which is well known in Hungary, has been organized every year since 1994.

Cooperation Agreements

A cooperation agreement was signed between the fallowing Universities: University of Debrecen, Faculty of Engineering, University of Oradea, Western University of Timișoara, Szent István University, and Politechnica University of Timișoara. The aim of agreement is the mutual support of researches and researcher exchanges in the area of geothermal energy utilization.

Welcome

Dear Visitors! Dear Colleagues!

Welcome to the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Engineering EGSL homepage! The Faculty of Engineering in 2009 submitted an application in the frame of the Hungary-Romania Cross Border Co-operation Programme entitled „Sustainable Utilization of Geothermal Energy In Săcuieni-Létavértes Zone”(EGSL). The basic objective of the project is to bring closer peoples who live in the border region, communities and anyone taking part in Economic Partnership, in order to achieve a successful joint development based on the advantages of cross border region. The EGSL project won support, thus the University of Debrecen together with the University of Oradea can fulfil the project. The aim of the project is to assess the geothermal energy sources and the examination of sustainable utilization in Săcuieni-Létavértes zone; the cognition of geological and hydro geological parameters; to develop systems which uses the geothermal energy sources efficiently (<100 oC), characteristic for Hungary and Romania. in this project will take place a strategy of regional development based on the renewable energy.

We believe that with our project we serve our common interest since energy is our mutual case.
